Knee Deep in the Hoopla

New sock project:
Yarn: Plucky Feet from The Plucky Knitter
Color: Knee Deep in the Hoopla

Yesterday I started a new project. I got the idea from Angela at KnitLuck, who suggested in the comments of a previous post that I should always have some socks on the needles. Portable projects are SO useful! The yarn pictured is from The Plucky Knitter, my current yarnish obsession. The yarn is Plucky Feet, a squishy, soft, sturdy merino/nylon sock yarn. The color is a crazy intense hot magenta called ‘Knee Deep in the Hoopla.’ Colors in the photo came out a little bit lighter than in real life. It’s part of her Valley Girl limited edition series of colorways. Very 80’s inspired. I’ll be blogging more about the Plucky alternate universe soon!

The sock will be a test-run of my new Everlasting sock pattern mentioned previously on this blog. I am knee-deep in the writing of this pattern, getting ready to publish it soon on  Ravelry.

Love the Everlasting Sock. The Magenta looks bright would love to see it in real life – hint hint.

I can see a whole etsy shop (and maybe a Ferry Building shop too) filled with bright colored men’s hand-knitted socks.
